前作のDJ Tama “1999”はSwizz BeatやNeptunes、Timbalandによるサンプリングに頼らない打ち込み系サウンドのフロア・アンセムが中心の王道の選曲に対して、今回のDJ Seiji “Re 1999”は良質なアングラヒットも数多くリリースされた事を再認識出来る、まさに”裏”99年ベストな選曲。今回のDJ Seijiの選曲から特筆したい楽曲はなんと言ってもDJ Premierによるプロダクションから13、15、16、17、20、23、24、25、26、27、37は特に素晴らしい楽曲。更に当時DJ Premierがラジオでパワープレイしていた05、34も合わせて要チェック。それと、Curt Cazalのプロダクションから07、08。レーベルと言えばRawkus Records黄金期でもあったがStreet Level Recordsからの10、19もマストな楽曲。更にウエストコーストのアングラの03、ドイツの29、この時期頭角を現してきたと言われているUgly Ducklingの04、36も忘れて欲しくない楽曲。ちなみにDJ Seiji発信で札幌で大ヒットした35もかなりの好曲！今回のレア盤はプロモオンリーの02、40、リミックス収録のシングルの33、最近値段が上がってきた43、44。
